This year we celebrate the incredible story of The Boys in the Boat. It is the true story of nine working class boys and their incredible journey to row for gold at Hitler’s 1936 Olympics in Berlin. The story centers on the life of Joe Rantz who was an abandoned Depression era teen whose reliance led him to be a world champion and gold medalist rower. Tonight we will meet Judy Rantz Willman, Joe Rantz’s daughter. Since her father’s death in 2007, she has kept his story alive by sharing anecdotes and her special perspective about her father’s life journey. Reception to follow presentation.
